West Ham United‘s summer transfer plans have seen a twist, with their pursuit of Portuguese attacker Jota Silva seemingly ending and their attention turning to Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, according to a new report from The Athletic

West Ham’s initial target, Jota Silva of Vitoria de Guimaraes, appears unlikely to join the club, as suggested by The Athletic journalist Roshane Thomas.
The signing of Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme is now seen as an indication that West Ham is no longer pursuing Silva.

Despite the Silva setback, a reliable West Ham source confirms the club’s continued search for a left-sided attacker. This urgency is heightened by the uncertain future of West Ham’s midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

West Ham has been linked with several young attacking talents, including Reiss Nelson of Arsenal. In January’s transfer window, Nelson reportedly opted to stay with Arsenal despite loan interest from West Ham.

Recent reports suggest a change of heart for Nelson, who is now reportedly receptive to leaving Arsenal in search of regular playing time.Give Me Sport claims that Nelson is open to joining West Ham.
Nelson’s skillset aligns perfectly with what West Ham’s technical director, Tim Steidten, and manager, Julen Lopetegui, are seeking: a versatile and young attacker.
What with Arsenal, facing Premier League spending restrictions, they could benefit financially from Nelson’s departure.

Also Nelson’s desire to remain in London and his status as a homegrown player further strengthen his appeal to West Ham.

All depends on the price for me if Arsenal want silly money then move on as for the rumour he turned down a loan move to fight for a place at Arsenal i January well who would blame him with Moyes record on attacking players…so for around £25/£30million fine but anymore then no thank you
