Irons eyeing Eredivisie pair

West Ham are eyeing an Eredivisie duo, according to 90min, as the Hammers aim to bring new midfield talent into the club.

The Irons struggled to bring new midfield talent into the club during the summer, and were left with the signings of Lucas Paqueta and Flynn Downes.

However, the latter has struggled to make a major impact on the first-team, while the latter is an attacking player, as opposed to a central midfielder.

90min now reports that there is interest in Ajax’s Edson Alvarez and PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangare.

Alvarez is likely to play for Mexico at the World Cup in November, and was a target for Chelsea in the summer, while Sangare has also drawn interest from a number of European clubs.

Sangare signed a new contract in the summer, however, tying him to the Dutch club until 2027, so it would take a huge fee to prise him away from PSV.

Still, both players are said to be interested in potentially moving to England.
