Irons face big losses

MoneyExclusive

West Ham – having planned for a £13 million loss this season-  claim they could plunge as much as £20 million into the red.

The club has absolutely no money left to spend on January signings and admit they have their absolute maximum on wages.

ClaretandHugh has revealed in earlier stories that loan signings are costing the club over £17 million and coupled with the summer spend, sources explained to us today that there is now  zero money for new signings.

And one admitted: “We are up to our absolute maximum on wages and Football Fair play profit/loss.”

He then revealed: “We expect to lose £13m this season, but in fact  it could be anything from £7m to £20m,

“It will depend of course on our league position, the TV games we attract and a decent FA Cup run would help but there’s no way we could break even this season in any scenario.”

  1. That’s the possible price of chasing success . We need a high position finish in the League to recover our losses . FACup would help . But going to the OS as European contenders would see us through .
    Come on you Hammers .

  2. Try telling the media, we have all known how quiet it’s going to be in January and have accepted that but already they have us buying this one and that one

  3. Sh!t or ——— ? Gotta go for it if you’re going anywhere!

  4. In for a penny in for a pound.
Nothing compared to some teams that have wasted much more.
We’ve bought young talented players some for now and some for the future.
