Irons fans get club bans

|

west-ham-olympic-stadium-775477A total of 38 fans have been banned by the club in the aftermath of the disorder against Chelsea earlier this season.

According to reports this morning a total of 97 fans were giving their marching orders after CCTV  footage had been studied.

But vice chairman Karren Brady CBE confirmed to Claret and Hugh this morning: “The number of fans banned for Chelsea was 38, not 100!”

Chelsea return to the London Stadium on Monday for a Premier League clash where a ‘five-point plan’ to tackle any issues will be in place.

West Ham have largely curbed hooliganism inside their 57,000-seater ground since the 2-1 win on October 26, but the game retains the highest possible security category.

As we reported yesterday (Tues) beyond the five point plan introduced after the previous EFL game game against Chelsea in October the club, operators and police are planning no extra precautions.

How many fans have Chelsea banned seeing as they started the whole incident?
And I’m never going to buy an LG washing m/c.

I know a couple of the lads that got banned. They’re good lads and been supporting West Ham for years. They’d been drinking all day I’m surprised they got into the ground and they got a bit lary with security that was all. They deserved to be chucked out and it didn’t look nice on cctv but in this day and age it’s not hard to put a supporter on probation whereby you say do that again and you’re banned. A bit of common sense would be good as loyalty counts in my books. It wouldn’t occur now as lessons have been learnt. I hope the club invites them back but I won’t hold my breath.

I was at the match and the atmosphere was amazing, it was mostly just a lot of posturing and finger pointing, it was blown up because it suited the media. The club took action and that’s the end of it hopefully, the same might happen again although the fanbase will probably be different seeing as that was a cup game and this is a league game which for the home support means tickets will be more expensive. Hopefully we can find a way to get a result, even in the cup game when Costa came on Chelski looked a different team and now they are flying so it will be tough.
