West Ham fans are flooding the Football Association with tweets and e-mails in protest against Andy Carroll’s red card against Swansea City last Saturday.
The incensed fans are furious that Howard Webb red-carded their key man after he had tangled with Swansea City’s Chico Flores in one of the most controversial incidents of the season.
And after Carroll’s trailing arm had brushed the Spaniard’s pony tail, Webb decided to send off the Irons striker appearing to interpret the act as a deliberate attempt to hurt the central defender.
But even Swansea boss Michael Laudrup said he did not believe there was any intent along with Hammers boss Sam Allardyce and virtually every pundit on TV, including Alan Hansen.
The Hammers will lodge their protest today and expect an outcome by Thursday and meanwhile the fans are totally up in arms.

The incensed fans are furious that Howard Webb red-carded their key man after he had tangled with Swansea City’s Chico Flores in one of the most controversial incidents of the season.
They believe the behaviour of Flores – who went down in a manner many think to be theatrical – was the motivation for Webb’s actions.
And they have flooded social media networks with bitter cries of outrage before tweeting @FA with their protests.
Sean Whetstone, a lifelong supporter and member of the West Ham Supporters Advisory Board said: “I can’t remember the Hammers fans being more incensed..it was a horrible incident and not deserved.”
“It could mean the difference between this club surviving in the Premier league or facing fionancial Armeggaedon in the lower league. I wouild urge every hammer to tweet @FA and make their protest.”
Meanwhile, there are even suggestions that the club will take their case to the European Court of Human Rights if the appeal goes against them.
