Irons have expressed an interest in Wolves star
The mighty Irons have expressed an interest in Wolves star Max Kilman as they actively seek a centre-back during the current transfer window according to talkSPORT.
Kilman, who joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2018 after progressing through Fulham’s youth ranks is apparently very much a target . The 26-year-old has become a noteworthy figure in the last five and a half years, and is now wearing the captain’s armband following the departures of Conor Coady and Ruben Neves’ departures.
With 128 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers, contributing two goals and two assists, Kilman has proven himself as one of the Premier League‘s underrated defenders.
His leadership qualities have attracted attention, notably from West Ham , who were previously reported to have wanted him during the previous summer transfer window.
While Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in Kilman last summer, their pursuit seems to have waned. .
In preparation for a potential departure, as previously reported on Claret and Hugh, they are looking to part ways with Nayef Aguerd this January. Additionally, with Angelo Ogbonna approaching the twilight of his career, West Ham sees the need to bolster their defensive line up in the ongoing transfer window.
Despite this interest, Kilman’s mid-season move across the Premier League seems unlikely, given Wolverhampton Wanderers’ rising stature under manager Gary O’Neil and their aspirations for a top-half finish.
