Exciting Hammers youngster Martin Samuelsen is set for a place on the bench for tonight’s Europa Cup second round first leg clash against Birkirkara.
The 18 year old received rave reviews after the weekend clash against Peterborough United and some thought he might be fast-tracked into tonight’s game.
David Gold, Slaven Bilic and former Hammers midfielder Jak Collison – now with the League One outfit – all sang the former Manchester City youngster’s praises after his performance against the Posh.
But boss Slaven Bilic is likely to keep the hot prospect on the bench as he oversees his first Boleyn match.
A source told us: “The temptation to play him – given the likely absence of Mauro Zarate – is obvious but word is Slaven will resist it and include him as a sub.”
I’m well up for it tonight. The only downer for me is the likely selection of fatty Nolan. God, I wish a club will come in for him – and soon. Seeing him strut about the pitch without making any useful contribution against Peterborough was sickening and reminiscent of last season. COYI
Careful Ken,you will have someone telling you you should show him more respect for everything he has done for us,along with their Hippo God!!
It is time to be honest and tell Nolan to find another club, keeping him as captain is wrong!
It’s time the club drew a line under his name and penciled in not useable,
Why not have him on the bench and this lad on the pitch ?
Don’t need him on the pitch as captain and putting him in the shop window is actually going to put people off,
Don’t mess up our season
Sorry hope this lad gets a long run
