Iron’s important consultation due

Lucas Paqueta will discover tomorrow whether he has a realistic chance of playing against Palace at the weekend.

The midfielder injured his upper chest and shoulder against Southampton at St Mary’s and has been out since although there are now hopes he may recover for the Sunday game.

However, that will depend very much on a report from the consultation with a specialist with whom he is due to meet tomorrow.

With Tomas Soucek not in his best form this season there would be a possibility of the record signing linking up with Gianluca Scamacca with the pair having struck up a very decent relationship.

Paqueta claimed in his Instagram that nothing had been broken despite suspicions that his collar bone may have become a problem as a result.

The player is desperate to be involved and we were told he may have a chance against Palace along with Maxwell Cornet and Nayef Aguerd,
