Irons in pole position but will have to wait

|

The summer window is predictably the most frustrating time of the year and it’s so easy to find ourselves throwing blame here there and everywhere when deals don’t go through with the regularity we would like.

A typical example this time around is the Amanda Broja situation which seems to have been dragging on for too long given the long term anxiety among the fans to see a new striker on the staff,

Richarlison sale unlikely to put Everton in the race

However, right now, this is out of West Ham’s hands simply because his Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to take a final look at him ahead of the season whilst the club visits the States.

There’s nothing whatsoever the Hammers can do at the moment so shouts of “Just do it” and ” spend the wedge” are pointless. It’s all in Chelsea’s hands – not ours.

Personally – from what one hears on the old qt – I will be surprised if he doesn’t arrive for around the £30 million being mentioned.

Everton are apparently in the mix but despite selling Richarlison but the Toffees remain heavily in debt and certainly at this point Frank Lampard is unable to challenge David Moyes on the financial front.

The price being attached to a player reflects the scarcity of quality front men in the game at present so this is about the going price to expect.

However, should – or ONCE we do so hopefully – personal terms need to be agreed so the reality is we are probably looking at another month minimum for a result.

In the meantime Ben Brereton-Diaz remains on the radar !

I do tend to agree, frustrating but not a lot the club can do. However Diaz should not be on the radar, been linked with some top quality towards who we should be targeting, diaz would be incredibly underwhelming.

are we going after his sister Amanda now instead? i hope she’s good! 🤣 i’m sorry, i couldn’t help myself. and that’s why i never use predictive text

i have learnt from your trusted site not to sweat on transfers so i keep up with what’s going down and wait until a striker is announced. i know, at least, this time one is coming through the door
i’m hoping for 2 or 3 strikers tbh
