Feyenoord’s 26 year old David Hancko has become a hot commodity in the transfer market, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs. West Ham, Aston Villa, and even Liverpool are reportedly keen on the Slovakian defender, according to HITC. However, Atletico Madrid appear to be at the forefront of the race to secure his signature.
Sources close to the situation suggest that Atletico Madrid has made the most significant progress in negotiations with Hancko, putting them in the driver’s seat to land the defender.
Clubs interested in acquiring Hancko’s services this summer can expect to pay a transfer fee in the region of £25 million.
West Ham considers Hancko a potentially valuable addition to their squad. His age, experience in the Dutch Eredivisie with Feyenoord, and his ability to play as both a left-sided centre-back and a left-back make him a versatile option, offering much-needed depth and tactical flexibility in their defence. Additionally, his £25 million price tag is considered relatively affordable compared to other defenders on the market.
A strong showing at Euro 2024 could further inflate Hancko’s transfer value. This should motivate West Ham to at least test the water as regards securing his services before his price inevitably rises.
I wont believe it and nor will other west ham fans, as previously stated we have signed a kid with potential and possibly 2 free transfers, centre backs and a, striker should be our priority but as usual nothing concrete is happening other than us looking at free transfers, and where’s sullivan during this important time, oh yeah he was swanning off to Ascot with his 35yr younger girlfriend who makes him look like a dwarf which is quite apt because when it comes to bitionhe is nothing but small fry. Spending money at the races instead of investing in quality players.
