H/T Irons let Sakho lead slip

H/T Irons 1 WBA 1

Diafra Sakho got back on the goal trail with a fine header before the Hammers went to sleep and allwed Albion to get back into the game through Sessegnon .

The exciting Sakho stole into the box after 10 minutes to glance home after a super ball from Amalfitano found Cresswell who produced a perfect cross into the box.

That should have settled the Irons but instead they seemed content to sit back a little and slowly the visitors found a way into the game.

Downing, however, might have added to the lead when Song played a great ball out of defence  but the winger could only fire from a tight angle and Foster saved with difficulty.

After that the Hammers appeared to switch off and Adrian was forced to save low down from Baird before Brunt flashed a cross-shot wide.

Next Song conceded a free-kick five yards outside the box after hauling down Mulumbu but Brunt  fired narrowly wide.

Three minutes from the break though Albion were level when the Irons possession on the edge of the Baggies’ box and Berahino received Sessegnon’s pass to slide his shot past Adrian.
