|

Ray ‘Tonka’ Stewart was the greatest West Ham penalty take ever!

The Hammers legend played 345 games for this club between 1979 and and 1991 scoring 62 goals and becoming one of the best loved players to play for the club,

He is now ClaretandHugh’s exclusive blogger and next week our man Gonzo will be bringing you a series of videos in which ‘Tonka’  talks about his life and times at West Ham United.

He will tell:

O How he came to join the club

O How he became the best penalty taker around

O His devotion to the great John Lyall and how the great man looked after him

O His chances of moving from the club before deciding he had to stay loyal

O His room mate and managers Lou Macari and Billy Bonds

O life in that fabulous squad of 85/86 and his favourite players

O his beliefs for Declan and the influence of Mark Noble

O and where he thinks we can go under Moysie.

Its a not to be missed daily feast of memories from the great man alongside Gonzo’s regular daily offerings on all things Hammers.

Tune in every day – don’t miss it,
