Irons line up Portugal international

West Ham are interested in a deal for Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro, according to a new report.

Jeunes Footeux reports the Irons are considering a bid for Guerreiro in January as they look to bounce back from a poor period of form that has left them perilously close to the relegation zone.

Guerreiro has come onto the radar because his contract expires in the summer, potentially opening the door to a cut-price move.

He is capable of negotiating a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, but the Hammers would prefer to pay a fee to sign him in the coming window, according to the report.

Guerreiro is an experienced campaigner and, at 28, has won 56 caps for Portugal; he has been included in their squad for the tournament in Qatar.

Having joined Dortmund in 2016, the left-back has played 206 times for the club, winning the German Cup twice at Signal Iduna Park.
