Irons linked with PSV star
The Iron’s foray into the transfer market is showing no signs of stopping, as we are now being linked with the PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
Initially he was odds on to go to Nottingham Forest on loan with an option to buy for £22m, but he appears to have changed his mind.
Incidentally, we seem to be seeing more and more of these sort of deals . For any Millwall supporters reading this:
The offer of a loan-to-buy deal is a strategic manoeuvre that adds complexity to the transfer discussions. Typically as a ploy to secure a players services whilst balancing financial considerations.
With PSV appearing to be happy to let him go, as they have already lined up a couple of replacements, this could be a good piece of business as we go about reinforcing our mid field.
The Ivorian defensive midfielder’s prowess and potential impact on the field has garnered plenty of attention , and we seem to be in pole position to acquire him,
If we are buying Kudus, have Alvarez and JWP why would we be buying Sangakare is a curious question?
Not saying it’s a bad thing but can only wonder if it is a smokescreen to get the Kudus deal over the line ?
