Irons look to sort out Poyet fee quickly

Screenshot1 (1)West Ham are doing everything in their power to bring Diego Poyet to Upton Park without having to take the price issue to a Tribunal.

That the son of Sunderland boss Gus is on his way to the club is the worst kept secret of today since keeper Adrian tweeted a pic of him wearing a Hammers top with himself and Mauro Zarate.

So it’s not so much the whether he’s coming but the when and for how much which is causing the hold up.

However, ClaretandHugh can confirm that the Irons are in talks with Charlton Athletic in a bid to make it happen sooner rather than later.

A top Hammers source revealed to us exclusively: “It’s complicated but we are trying to sort things out..

“We are talking to Charlton in a bid to sort out a price. It’s exciting because Diego is exactly the type of young player West Ham should be looking to attract.”
