David Moyes may be tempted to go with a few kids in the dead rubber game against Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday evening with nothing at al at stake!
With another crucial game on Sunday at Burnley and injury problems starting to bite, he can ill afford to take any chances with players such as Issa Diop and Craig Dawson should the injury to Kurt Zouma turn out to be a serious problem.
It could mean that highly rated academy central defender Jamal Baptiste will get his chance and should neither Dan Johnson or Aaron Cresswell be available we could even see Arthur Masuaku on the left side and maybe the excellent Harrison Ashby on the right.
Mark Noble and Alex Kral are likely to sit in front of the back line, with Yarmolenko, Vlasic, Lanzini and Bowen up front.
Possible team: Areola, Ashby, Diop Baptiste, Masuaku; Noble, Kral, Lanzini; Vlasic, Perkins, Bowen.
We should really start with 11. Yarmolenko is available and might as well put Perkins in for Bowen.
My mistake and correct altho I’d prefer Perkins… we know what Yarmo can’t do
Good call for the young players who are doing so well. Why not Baptiste, Ashby and Perkins if we have experience on bench in case? I would rest Bowen and Lsnzini after Saturdays epic.
I would play
Areola
Ashby, Baptiste, Alese, Longelo
Kral, Noble
Yarmolenko, Vlasic, Masuaku
Perkins
Give all the first teamers a complete rest and not even put them on the bench, fill the bench with kids, let’s see what they can do
