Irons midfielder set to get new offer

100 per cent Snoddy

Thirty two year old Robert Snodgrass’ West Ham contract runs out at the end of next season although as is generally  the case at the club he has an option for a further year attached to his deal.

Snoddy has been one of our top three or four performers over the past season and is currently on five goals and a number of assists.

His set pieces and high energy performances have been something to seriously behold at times and he looks a player to keep on board.

The club will be looking for younger legs in the summer transfer market but our insiders have indicated by e mail that the high energy Scot is set to receive an option triggering offer.

With the likes of Pablo Fornals and Tomas Soucek  on board – should we remain in the Premier League of course – Snoddy will be facing intense competition.

But he certainly appears to have the fitness levels to be involved in the squad for a couple of years yet.

  1. Snoddy has been great – hope that slowing pace doesn’t defeat him – his spirit won’t!
We need changes though – time has caught up with Balbueno, Zabba and Nobes – injury with Yarmo and Frederick’s, everything with Sanches and the golden sicknote Wilshere.

  2. Do not confuse being able to deliver a good set piece and being one of our top 3or 4 performers this season. A very honest footballer and if we have any cop on we will honour his current contract and certainly not trigger any extension. We need to move on from players like Snods, Noble, Wilshere etc..

  3. He has contributed far more than Noble , Sanchez and Wilshere but is in the same category . Not good enough and too slow for Premiereship . Hopefully Noble Sanchez and Wilshere will disappear from the squad anyway but if we go down Snoddy could still do a good job .

  4. hi, both Peter and John are spot on with their comments

  5. Yes great we can wheel shoddy on in his wheelchair to take free kicks for us. Just like Moyes bought him on at the end of a game recently to take a free kick. Alternatively we could buy a younger player that is also good at taking free kicks.
