Pedro Obiang will be allowed to leave Sampdoria at the end of the season following a meeting held yesterday by the president of Sampdoria and the players representatives.
However, according to Calciomercato.com the Hammers must raise their offer to 8.5 million euros (£6.15m) to fend off late interest from Tottenham.
The Spanish midfielder has made 60 appearances for Sampdoria since 2010 scoring just one goal. He was capped for Spain at youth level and is seen as an ideal replacement for Alex Song.
If we had used Poyet this season and brought him on from last year, then maybe we would not be looking to spend a penny,
What about our freebie that’s been training with us and now has clearance is he not a holding player as well ?
With Noble and Kouyate and Alfitano how many more do we need and we used Tomkins last year in that role,
A right back
A creative Midfielder
Another forward to cover Sakho and Carroll
A good attacking winger
These are more important
Yes 7.5 million Euros or £5.4m
Tell Sampdoria to stick their demands where the sun doesn’t shine. There are plenty of other options and we shouldn’t get caught in a bidding war for someone who looks like a bit of a gamble…
£5.4m
Thank you
No worries 😉
What was the original offer Sean?
So tomorrow Southampton will take an interest and the price will be €10 million and on Sat
WBAwill show an interest and the price will be €12 ,
Then he will come to London have a medical look at the OS and except our offer,
The 2 Daves will then pull out stating the agent was the problem,
Then 1 month later father reports the player can’t stop crying DS will fly to Italy and talk to his grandad and bring back 10 litres of olive oil and he will sign,
And we would have wasted 2 months of time and end up stuck with Nolan and Jarvis because we can’t let them leave until they are covered,
Call me an old moaning git
I hope he is a stayer , unlike Song who faded badly after christmas.
Also hope we don’t sign any more African players cos we could lose them all to the African Cup of Nations in the future. After the debacle of this year we can do without those sort of distractions in the future.
Hope Sam goes and we get a forward looking Manager with no favourites, someone who picks the team on merit and gives the youngsters a chance ply their trade on the big stage before we lose them to other teams.

We seem to have been chasing this guy for a long time now,i hope he is better than his record suggests, but i guess its easy to look at stats, write ups, wikipedia & draw the wrong conclusions. We will find out if he signs i suppose.
