West Ham have stressed this morning that “absolutely nothing” has changed in their pursuit of Carlos Bacca.
Intense rumour-mongering yesterday suggested that the AC Milan striker had turned the Irons down.
But we reported last night (Fri) that the Irons considered that despite the media gossip they retained what was described to us as “a 20 per cent chance of landing the player” and this morning it has become apparent why!
We were told by our best source that Bacca in fact has five offers on the table including ours and whilst four of them are from unnamed Champions League clubs, the Irons personal terms offer is understood to be higher than any of the others – which levels up the playing field .
ClaretandHugh was told exclusively: “There is no change in the situation from earlier in the week when Carlos started considering his options. He has a big decision to make and there is no rush at this stage from his perspective.
“We are aware of his desire to play in the CL but we have offered more money. In reality there is no change in the position from earlier despite all the mis-reporting.”
Why are we wasting time on Bacca? He just doesn’t rate us otherwise he would have signed long ago.Time to look closer to home.
Forget Bacca, he clearly is only looking for C.L and as much money as he can get. Not what we want.
What is wrong in swapping Sakho for Berahino and buying this Ben Waddah guy from Toulouse who clearly wants to come to us.
Was David in the South of France recently to buy this guy and also why we are at it get N’Koulou as a replacement for Tomkins, he is a freebie after all.

Last nights La Gazetto Dello reports he is not coming…………big news we ALL knew that last week. I think the Chairman should have pulled the plug as soon as he stalled, don’t let the prima donna hold us to ransome.
I doubt we will get Bacca but you never know this is probably his last big contract so perhaps money will talk… I am more interested now about us possibly making a huge bid for James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

It seems to me that there are players agents willing their man to be ‘linked’ with us for one reason only, to let everybody know they are open to a move & atract the attention. It’s going to be hard to sign a big name as they all want CL football. Forget this £25m rubbish & go for more realistic targets. We’re one season away from playing with the big boys.
