West Ham have been alerted this evening that Manchester United have dropped their valuation for Aaron Wan-Bissaka to a mere £10m. That is a massive reduction from the £50m the Old Trafford club paid Crystal Palace for the defender.

The Hammers were reported to have cooled their interest in the Man United full-back, with the Red Devils’ valuation proving to be a stumbling block. However, this new development has changed the landscape within the past few hours.

The Hammers had been exploring options to strengthen their defensive options, with Wan-Bissaka emerging as a potential target. However, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, West Ham were unwilling to meet Manchester United’s original asking price for the defender.

With the transfer window still open, the Irons could still turn their attention to alternative targets to fill the void left by Ben Johnson’s departure. Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters remains an option, although negotiations have stalled due to a disagreement over the transfer fee.

Despite having spent £40m to bring in Max Kilman from Wolves, another centre-back could be signed before the transfer window closes. After seemingly failing to land Jean-Clair Todibo, the Irons have approached his fellow countryman Oumar Solet.

Weren’t we told here that it was the wages that put us off Wan Bissaka, not the asking price?

    • Hammeroo says:

I think ALL Man United players are on silly money, the likes of which few clubs can match. That club has a lot to answer for!

      • Ian says:

Agree and disagree. Yes they pay silly money in wages. But it also means that when they want to offload players, they struggle as other clubs won’t pay the same.
Up to us not to pay stupid wages.

Just get it done already! Getting beyond a joke.

  • Morkus says:

10m is a bargain but whether it’s a good deal or not depends on his wages demands

  • ricardo says:

Oumar Solet, 24 years, price tag under 10 million pounds. . Also french, but way cheaper than Todibo. For a change someone who could actually arrive in days and not weeks, months or never.

Jesus what the hell is the hold up 10M ! We are going to end up watching these targets go elsewhere,

Don’t be silly don’t matter how cheap he is there be some haggling it’s the way of their world.
There’s always the considering / approaching / alternative factors why they don’t bid
Looks like Aguerd is wanting to leave.
If that’s the case another c/bk (Solet?) as well as a r/bk is needed and maybe a l/bk.
They would rather spend time chasing Summerville, waste of time, to expensive than getting other deals done.

Good player at 10m, snap him up.
