Irons ready to take knockdown price for player

|

Jarvis_2830682West Ham are ready to accept a bargain basement price for Matt Jarvis either in January or next summer.

Currently injured, the on loan player is set to return in early December after sustaining a knee problem in the last match against Manchester City.

He was given an extended run-out in the pre season Europa Cup campaign in the hope that a club would come in but it was a tight call.

The Canaries made their interest known at the last minute and now the Hammers are hoping they will clinch a deal but are ready for others to come in given that he has been impressive during his start to the season at Carrow Road.

ClaretandHugh was told by a top insider: “Norwich came in at 4 pm on deadline day and the deal was completed by 5,30 with his wages covered.

“The idea was that he got a shop window this season and that we can sell him – if necessary at a knock down price next summer.

“It’s possible something could happen in January but far more likely we will see something take place in the summer.”

Disappointed Matt never made it, which I blame Allardyce for! he had some speed on the wing and put over some great crosses into the box, but best let him go, we should also consider it with Carroll before he has No sell on value at all and just get his salary off the books,

I thought Matt was out of contract next summer ?

  • bubs says:

We are being paid for him now and not paying wages so we can drop the price a bit,
I like him to and at the start of the season I thought he might get ago under Slav BUT
he is not in the same class as Moses or Lanzini and with Antonio and Valencia on the books and with Samulsun coming on we can let him go
    Not sure about contract ?

Never cracked it so get rid, IF POSSIBLE

  • Michael Miller says:

When I first saw him at Wolves he was very impressive – especially with those dangerous crosses.

He definitely lost his way under Allardyce, he put the kibosh on quite a few others too – undermining their confidence, in and out of the team, never knowing where you stand – Allardyce has a lot to answer for!

Good luck to Matt Jarvis for the future!
