A new report that West Ham are considering ” a shock move to for Lazio boss, Simone Inzaghi” has this afternoon been described as “pure fantasy.”

The report – from Corriere dello Sport  and repeated in The Sun – claims that we are looking at the Lazio boss as  a potential replacement to Slaven Bilic — and are ready to offer him a five-year contract.

But the report was immediately rubbished by the Hammers where a senior source told ClaretandHugh: “There’s not a word of truth in this report – it’s pure fantasy. Just another name conjured from nowhere.”

Bilic is safe until the end of the campaign as the Hammers board are going him every chance to finish the season with a bang and some decent displays after a season of struggle.

It will be at that stage a decision will be made on his future and whether he will be leading the squad into the third year of his contract.

To be honest they would hardly say anything different, especially as we have this turgid, dung heap of a season still to get completed and maybe find a little focus and eek out a result or two.
