Irons say midfielder won’t be loaned

|

ObiangWest Ham have killed all speculation that Pedro Obiang could be loaned to Napoli or anywhere else in the January window.

Rumours have been rife over the midfielder for several weeks with his absence from the first team raising – in some places – questions over his Hammers future.

Obiang was again missing from the squad on Sunday at White Hart Lane sparking a round of fresh speculation. .

But ClaretandHugh has been assured this morning that the midfielder is seen as a key player over the long term.

A key insider explained that Obiang is now fully recovered from his injury problems and ready to join battle for a regular starting spot.

And with Mark Noble suspended for the game against West Brom he will come into the reckoning along of course with Alex Song who returned at the weekend.

We were told: “ There is absolutely zero chance of Obiang being loaned out. That won’t happen. He is now fully fit and could feature against WBA.”
