Irons send a message to Serie A “target”

|

HondaWest Ham sent a message to AC Milan’s Keisuke Honda this morning  after the 29 year old after he had made it clear he wouldn’t leave the Italian outfit unless told he wasn’t wanted.

Honda has been regularly linked with a move to the Irons after struggling to land a place with the San Siro based Serie A outfit.

However, even should he be made available ClaretandHugh has learned the Irons hold no interest in him and were told: “I think we are quite well stocked in that area with Payet and Lanzini.”

A source added: “This player has been regularly linked with us but there is little money available and even if there were it would be used in other areas.”

The Japanese international had told Nikkan Sports: “I won’t leave Milan of my own desire. “Unless they tell me they don’t want me here, I’m not moving. I’m certainly not going to be the one running away.

Our source said: “He’s a decent player but not one we will be pursuing.”
