Irons set to learn Conference League fate

|

West Ham will learn their Europa Conference League play-off opponents tomorrow.

The draw for the final qualifying round will take place at 1pm on Tuesday.

The Irons qualified via a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season and are now set to play a two-legged play-off as they attempt to reach the group stages. They will be seeded in the draw

ESPN’s Dale Johnson has confirmed the opponents that West Ham could face in the play-offs.

They are as follows…

Paide Linnameeskond (Estonia) or RSC Anderlecht (Belgium), Wolfsberger AC (Austria) or Gzira United (Malta), Riga FC (Latvia) or Gil Vicente FC (Portugal), AIK (Sweden) or KF Shkendija (Macedonia), Viborg FF (Denmark) or B36 Torshavn (Faroe Islands).

It remains to be seen who the Hammers will be facing but there do seem to be some genuinely dangerous teams in this draw.

A clash with Anderlecht would be particularly tricky, while there are also some lengthy trips that the club may have to embark on.

We’ll bring you the result of the draw tomorrow.
