‘Irons star would transform Arsenal’

Mikey Antonio would transform Arsenal if he moved to the Emirates Stadium, according to former Gunners star Kevin Campbell.

Antonio is enjoying a sensational season with the Irons this term, with the club currently in the top four under the management of David Moyes.

West Ham are clear of Arsenal, who are fifth, and Campbell believes that Antonio would absolutely transform Mikel Arteta’s frontline.

However, he accepts that the Irons will not be willing to sell the Jamaica international, who managed to score his first international goal last week.

Quoted by The Sun after speaking to the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, Campbell said: “He could make a real difference but West Ham would never sell him. They would be crazy to sell him.”

Antonio has scored seven goals in 13 games thus far this season, with the club enjoying a fine start in both the Premier League and the Europa League.

He will be back in action this weekend when the Irons take on Wolves and look to further cement their status as a top four club.
