Irons starting line up looks like shape of things to come

Soucek on the bench

David Moyes has given a pretty strong indication of the starting line up for our opening Premier League games when naming his team for the match against Glasgow Rangers tonight.

PerhaPs the most interesting feature is that ben Johnson starts at right back this evening rather than Vl;adi Coufal.
And fans of Conor Coventry will be pleased to see him involved in the squad along with Flynn Downes – both of whom are on the bench.
This is clearly the toughest pre-season game so far and it seems more than reasonable to start drawing conclusions with the manager focusing his thoughts on the opening game of the season.
Lukasz Fabianski get the shout in goal whilst the questions around Tomas Soucek are in the pending file for a while as he too is on the bench tonight
HAMMERS Fabianski, Johnson, Zouma, Aguerd, Cresswell, Rice, Lanzini, Fornals, Benrahma, Bowen, Antonio
Subs: Areola, Randolph, Masuaku, Diop, Baptiste, Coufal, Coventry, Soucek, Downes, Vlasic, Mubama

  1. Hope this isn’t the shape of things to come… 3-0 down early in the 2nd half. Did Aguerd go off injured?

  2. If it is nothing will change…Antonio still showing he is not a natural striker Cressy well we all no a new Left back needed quickly…funny the one player moyes seemingly wants shot off….Soucek comes on and scores…its what he does we have to keep him…but friendly pr not this display show much hard work ahead
