Michy Bashuayi is a wanted man but needs Chelsea to sign a new striker before he knows whether he will be on the move.
With Diego Costa set to move on after being told he is no longer wanted Chelsea are now believed to be set to pay around £90 million for Romelu Lukaku.
West Ham, Scotland’s Rangers, Monaco and Sevilla are all reported keen to grab ‘Bats’ who is desperate to play regular first team football with the World Cup on next year’s horizon.
And we understand the Irons remain in pole position to sign him once the champions make their choices and pay the money!
Bashuayi wants to play Premier League football and is content in London knowing the Hammers were desperate to sign him last season.
He is quoted as saying: “Everyone knows that I have to play more, that I have to score goals. There’s a World Cup coming up next year. I want to be ready for the World Cup.
“But I’m not going to ask anything. I’m going to listen to what they are saying. They are the boss, not me. And afterwards I’ll discuss it with my agent and the club. Amicably, as friends. Of course.
“A loan? That’s not up to me. That’s up to them. They take the decisions, not me.”

just read an article where it is saying we should sign 3 of spurs U23 squad with a heading ‘three players that would walk in to West Ham 1st team’ mmmm maybe not
I suppose in one way it suggests that us and Everton are seen to be the best of the rest which is probably accurate despite not proving it last season.
We see it every summer…big name strikers we never end up signing.
Try and look on the bright side. We have strong links with Bats, Iheanacho and Onyekurru. I think we’d all be happy with any 2 of those 3.

The transfer window has opened today. And I’m already bored of all these Batshuayi and iheanacho stories.
