West Ham United are still in the running to sign Jean-Clair Todibo, despite the player’s preference for a move to Juventus, according to reports from Italy.

The Hammers have made a renewed effort to convince the French defender to join them, submitting an improved offer to OGC Nice. While Todibo remains keen on a move to Juventus, West Ham are hopeful that they can persuade the player to change his mind.

The Hammers have already agreed a deal with Nice for the 24-year-old, with a loan move and an option to buy included in the package. However, the deal is currently on hold due to Todibo’s reluctance to move to London.

Thankfully, according to the Italian media, there is still hope. Considering they’re signing players like Koopemeiners and Adeyemi, They will be somewhat cash strapped. So a deal for Todibo could still happen.

West Ham are aware of the challenges they face in signing Todibo, but they are determined to strengthen their defensive options before the transfer window closes. The club have already signed Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but are still looking for another central defender to partner him.

If West Ham can convince Todibo to join the club, it would be a major boost for our defensive options. The twice capped Frenchman is a highly-rated defender, and his experience and versatility would be a valuable asset to the Hammers

Why are all our transfers so cloke & dagger, no wonder our deals take so long to complete.

  • Paul Taylor says:

He looks very assured on the ball and distribution with long diagonals I see why Lopetegui would want him alongside Kilman. Duran is a quality CF so if they can pull either off I think it will be extremely exciting to watch this season. Fingers crossed.

When did we agree a deal for Todibo with Nice?

    • David says:

A long time ago. It’s been widely reported that it was the player who preferred Juve and Champions league football

      • Ian says:

Exactly. But yesterday this same person posted here that we had sent a new offer to Nice for Todibo. Now today he’s saying we agreed a deal previously. This ‘story’ is all over the place

        • Paul Scarlett says:

I think an improved bid was supposed to have been submitted to make the deal even harder for Juventus to compete as Nice will want the same offer from them and if they have to sell to get funds for the deal it puts them in a more difficult position. Could be a Tim master stroke as if he doesn’t sign for us then at least we’ve cost Juventus more money for stealing the deal.

So. Despite already agreeing a deal, we say to Nice, here you go have a few more million quid on us? Just to mess Juventus up? Be a bit of a bugger if Nice now say yes he’s yours at the higher price. Sullivan will blow a fuse 😂

  • Ed The Hammer. says:

Apparently Sullivan told him he had to share a back room at 424 Green Street( free hair cuts included) with one of the trans gender hairdressers.
    He wasn’t too impressed.

  • Bog Brush says:

Zero chance of this bloke signing for us ,unfortunately, he would improve us considerably indeed.
