Irons strip speculation excites fans

OK we are bang in the middle of the silly season but there’s one suggestion doing the rounds which has caught ClaretandHugh’s attention.

The exciting rumour is that the new kit for 2014-15 will revisit the  famous pin stripe kit of 1986.

The Hammers of course finished in their  their highest ever league position coming a close third behind Liverpool and Everton.

We collected 84 points, two behind Everton and four behind eventual winners Liverpool having won 26 of our 42 games.

That all left us eight points clear of Manchester United in fourth place and of course ahead of every other London club!

ClaretandHugh attempted to gain confirmation of the story yesterday but everybody within the club was staying ‘schtuum.’

However, in our view if this is anywhere close to the new strip we are delighted!

Below is a mock up by Sutts‘ from the KUMB forum of how an updated kit of 86 might look.

  1. Looks okay, does not excite me, and the rumoured second strip, looks a joke! won’t worry me, as part of the my protest against retaining Sam as manager, I will not but any merchandise next season which will hurt. Anyway I never knew this season why a smart polo shirt had to be plastered with the sponsors name so large! polo shorts are for going out in relaxing, showing how proud you are of the club, not like a football shirt.
