Irons study tour options

|

AmericaWest Ham have told ClaretandHugh that a pre-season tour of the United States is a real Β possibility but that they are also exploring other options.

Reports arose yesterday with our pals at kumb.com that the club hasΒ provisionally booked friendlies against Houston Dynamo and Seattle Sounders, both of whom feature in the MLS (Major League Soccer).

And last night a senior club source revealed that the American situation was being explored “along with other possibilities.”

We were told: ” We have to go somewhere on tour. That’s important. America is an option along with South Africa and the Asian/Pacific region.

“We are very much a club on the move and need to act as the big clubs do. We are looking at various possibilities and nothing has been ruled out or in at this stage.”

Houston and Seattle!!?? Why couldn’t it be New York and Washington??

I think we need to see where we finish in the league and our cup run ends,
After the disaster last year in Europe and now it is so important to our future we need to think about where we drag our players and there preparation for the season,
If we have to start early in Europe we don’t want to be traveling right across the World
    New Zealand was a nightmare,
Plus how many of our players might be part of The Europeans
The fans will need to look at there financial position as well with Europe being a adventure
That could run into a lot of money,
If we want to be the London club as our New Emblem says China or Asia in General will fill the coffers quicker then America and the quality of football will be the same

Good article from HH on Wetpants. He seems like a top bloke, well worth the read about his visit.Just ignore the love in comments below about how amazing WHTID is,either that or have a bucket near you,lol

    • Billy the Hammer says:

Just read it Gobby.HH seems like a good man,top sense of humour & a good piece.Cheers for the heads up.You were right about the group hug of comments though, lol,Definate sick bucket job,Lmao. You got banned from the WHTID ‘Family’ didn’t you Gobby? I bet you really understand how inclusive & non-clique it is.Oh & Monkeys Bellend & P45 as well.#HammersFamily πŸ˜‰

Cheers! I’ll just say this: It doesn’t matter what your moniker is, who or what you are, you are bound to get a great welcome when meeting up in person with the WHTID crew.
To some of you the group hug comments may sound overblown or tacky, but they are not really and make a lot of sense once you’ve met a few of us in person.
I know though that this is not for everybody, but believe me: If you came along to one of our meets and socialise with fellow Hammers in all shapes, sizes and nationalities, you’d have a fantastic time.
I’ve met some people there whose outward appearance would have made me cross to the other side of the street for safety reasons maybe, but again, meeting them and chatting to them made me change my mind quickly.

No name calling, digs or downright insults from other sites will change my mind on my WHTID (Wetpants to you I believe) friends.
I post on here very occasionally and I’m sure we’d have a great time having a pint together, should we ever meet in person.

Final group hug comment from me (us WHTIDers can’t do without it, remember?):
We all support the same club and for that reason have much more in common than what divides us.
I’d rather take the p*** out of Arsenal or Spurs fans than fellow Hammers, but maybe that’s just me…COYI!

          HH,enjoyed the article,looks like you had a great time & Go Compare looked after you well,haha.Don’t take the banter so seriously,I never did when I used WHTID/Wetpants & I certainly don’t now,lol.Just remember mate this place also takes some sh#t on there,Claret & Spew,Parrot & Poo,Rabid Dogs.It ain’t all a one Street,haha.Anyways glad you had a top time Mr.Pie Man,lol πŸ˜€

          • Billy the Hammer says:

Nah 45,its all a one way street, lol. We have never been called Rabid dogs, the Valarama National League of commenters or suffering from literacy problems on there.F#ck me,all this one way street stuff really bugs me.They ain’t so innocent when it comes to critising people on here.Rant over, lol

        • TysonM says:

Well pleased you had q great time HH but as P45 says don’t take all this stuff seriously.Christ it’s no surprise you all get on on your favoured site the majority of other people are banned or sent packing, lol πŸ˜‰

        • WHU647580 says:

Haven’t read the article HH but will do. Agree with every word about the two sites, I’ve never really got the sagging off of others (only once did I do ut and that was because I was provoked πŸ˜‰ ). Bottom line is nearly all have never met, but if they had and started talking about our beloved Hammers over a beer, we’d probably all get along.

There have been instances on both sides of the fence…..Bubs went over there and got it in the neck……I came here a while back and got labeled. The common denominator. …our previous manager. The banter and joking around is fine on both sides…..but Ive seen some b*ll*cks where people have been called out for no reason…..I’ve personally been called nearly every name under the sun on this site…..even just for posting on a thread over there…..I even quoted someone else abd all hell brole loose lol

I don’t take it too seriously anymore, what really gets me are the unfunny sh*t stirrers that have played both sides…..one just recently got banned from WHTID and deservedly so imo, added f*** all to the conversation and just caused trouble.

Not sure where Banjo is……I haven’t read WHTID today but I’ll tell you what these places would be worse off without characters like him (and others on both sides)

          COYI

That’s what i mean mate. As long as there is a fellow Hammer I couldn’t care less which forum he usually reads or posts on, as a fellow Hammer I initially assume him or her to be a good person.

I also don’t mind banter and if you read my article you know that I also get British humour (most of it anyway) and also love to take myself not too seriously.
What I don’t like are wind up merchants or those that don’t know when to stop with their banter when others have told them to stop.

Sitting behind a keyboard, not knowing a person, can make it hard to realise how sometimes messages on a forum can overstep a boundary.
Of course you can always argue that people should stay away from a forum if they are easily offended.
Or people could just consider before posting something if they would say the same thing if they were face to face with that person in a pub or at the ground.
I won’t call anyone on here names as I find it all a bit silly to be honest.

            COYI!

      • Sams P45 says:

Hahaha,oh yeah 80,cried my eyes out for days.Gutted, absolutely fecking gutted, haha. It’s OK,I already know Ro thinks AC is better than Pele & Simon thinks Tomkins is better than Beckanbauer. That’s all I needed to take from there.Everything else is meaningless, lol πŸ˜€

  • mattefumi27 says:

Anyway, I’ve just read HH’s article, he seems to be a very kind person. He loves West Ham, and his photos have reminded me my visit in London last weekend. That will stand alone in my memory as something special, it’s priceless.
ahah.. I took a cab and the driver asked me “Why are you here in London?” and I told him “To watch the WH game”… He told me “Ah ok, I’m a Tottenham supporter…” lol I thought he would kick me off the car and instead he was a sweet old guy, we chatted for a while and he gave me a little British flag as a souvenir… lol I’m the living proof a hammer can coexist with a spud… ahaha πŸ˜€

    • West Ham Exile says:

Lmao, typical that you find a Spuds supporting cabbie Matte.Pleased you enjoyed yourself mate even if Battenburg did spoil the party, lol
