Irons Stumble in Striker Search

West Ham United‘s pursuit of a new striker has hit yet another hurdle, with the club facing challenges in negotiations for both Jhon Duran and Karim Adeyemi.

The Hammers’ initial bid for Aston Villa forward Duran has been rejected, with Villa holding firm on their £40 million valuation.

Meanwhile, our other frontman target Karim Adeyemi appears set on a move to Juventus, leaving West Ham to explore alternative options.

So the question must be asked.

Why don’t West Ham’s targets want to join us. Is it that we’re not doing enough to convince them? Is it that the lack of European football is putting them off, or is it that we’re being too ambitious?

These setbacks highlight the difficulties faced by the club in the transfer market, as we strive to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season. With time running out, West Ham must now assess their options and identify suitable alternatives to bolster their forward line.

The pressure is mounting on the club to deliver signings to satisfy the demands of the fans and ensure a competitive campaign.

Come on, isn’t it obvious? Massive historic cubs like Juve and Milan plus European football? It’s not hard
If I wasn’t a west ham fan, of course you’d rather join those clubs. And of course, beautiful cities and nicer weather too. Hardly think it’s surprising

Exactly what I said. We can’t compete with these giants of European football. It’s really no surprise that these talented foreign players want to go to the top clubs.

There’s still time. Alvarez signed on 10 Aug last year, Kudus on 28th. With Duran the pressure is on Villa – it’s them who’ll end up with a striker that doesn’t want to play for them. We may be too ambitious in some directions, but not ambitious enough in others. It’s painful to watch Smith-Rowe go to Fulham when we desperately need someone like him who can play left midfield or centrally, especially if we dont get Paqueta back.

Other clubs rebuild, look at Aston Villa, they have seriously added to squad, all ready for start of season. Are they bigger a club, do they get more support. Our problem & our dithering is all down to Sullivan. It is all very embarrassing

All these strikers do not want to come to West Ham,they must have their reasons. But the only one that does want to come and has already agreed terms is Jhon Duran and Sully is sitting on his high horse and won’t pay, again. If this guy goes somewhere else and is a success with J-Lo’s help,he could be worth a fortune.Stop messing and go get him.

Unfortunately West Ham have had a tendency to talk big without really backing it up, there have been so many links with so many players with no result short of third place goalkeeper, expensive fullback and unknown teenager ( some rebuild ?) . The team isn’t anymore exiting to watch although we do appear to have an Improvement in management. Things do seem to be moving very slowly considering we know the positions that need sorting, hopefully things will work out ok but personally I don’t feel too optimistic , there are too many good teams around in the premiership to be faffing around , let’s hope There is more reason to be positive soon..COYI.

Yet the one who actually wants to sign the club won’t pay that bit extra to do the deal ,instead throwing bids out for 31 year old German striker and many more that don’t want to come .

  • Ian says:

    Todibo – Juventus
    Fofana – Milan
    Adeyemi – Juventus
Look at the clubs these players look like joining. We can’t compete with the pull of these clubs.

One constant Mr David Sullivan surely the answer is to to take a risk on these players before they get into premiership
