Irons Supporting Foodbanks appeal for volunteers

|

With approx over 40,000 fans walking past the Irons Supporting Foodbanks on the way to  West Ham games at London Stadium an extra volunteer or two would make a big difference to what the group can collect for Newham foodbank. If you can spare half an hour tomorrow or at future games please stop by for a chat on Sunday or contact John Ratomski.

Irons Supporting Foodbanks are a group of West Ham United fans and friends inspired by the work of other football fan foodbanks around the country.

They collect food and cash donations for Newham Foodbank in Beckton, which supply 7 distribution centres in the borough, 7 days a week, and hand out several hundred 3-day emergency food packs every month to families in need. They are also working with other groups to improve conditions for vulnerable adults and children in the Newham community.

The Irons Supporting Foodbanks are supported in our efforts by West Ham United FC, the WHU Foundation, LS185, London Legacy Development Corporation, Newham Council, the Met Police, Spire London East Hospital, Rainer Hughes Solicitors and a large number of West Ham and football fans.

Their latest campaign looks to raise £10,000 to support Newham Foodbanks and other local causes. Please help by making a donation here #RightToFood
