Ginge has limitations but overall has done a solid job for us and if every other player was as committed as him we would have few worries.
Nolan did a good job for us for the first two years of his contract. The mistake was giving him a five year deal which brought him way past his sell by date. He has suffered from his association with the Genius but you can’t blame him for getting a great deal when when we were desperate.
Since you bring Noble up, he is likely to fall into the Nolan category of spare part part/traffic cone before too long. He might struggle for a regular first team place even this season and a five and a half year deal on £60k per week, some months back, looks mighty extravagant.
Agree totally with you Sparrow on Collins & Noble.Collins has been a beast for us sometimes when we have needed a proper hard b*stard cb who wants a battle.Noble,cant even see him being a rehular this season,let alone the captain.I have loved his devotion to the club but i really think we have seen the best of him,the long contract for him was deserved based on loyalty,but certainly ridiculous with regards to his performance on the pitch & the player we will now have for the next five years,if he stays that long.I see him on the bench alot this coming season in the Prem if he doesnt show more than much of last season.
Abide nous would be good plus Corluka as cover for Jenkinson and at centre half,we could let Tomkins or Collins go then to bring in Money,
Salah would hit to we can replace Jarvis with him but I think Chelski would only deal if they got Valencia but if they threw in Remy plus Salah it would fill to holes for us,
