Irons target linked with Real Madrid

|

Former West Ham target Armando Broja is being linked with Real Madrid.

The Hammers were considering a potential bid to sign the striker from Chelsea this summer but have instead signed Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.

David Moyes had initially placed Broja at the top of his shortlist but a change of heart saw Scamacca pursued instead.

The London Evening Standard, though, now reports that Real are considering a shock swoop to sign the forward from the Blues this summer.

Thomas Tuchel is not said to have made a decision over Broja’s future and Chelsea are currently preparing to include him in their squad for the 2022/23 season.

The Irons are said to retain a slight interest in signing Broja but only on loan, while there is also interest from Newcastle, Everton, and a number of Italian clubs.

It remains to be seen if Broja will be on the move this summer but he is clearly seen as a target for some top clubs.

Oh well, good luck to him. We do need another forward/ST but I guess we need LB & LW, CB, Mid sorted first

Am not too worried about Broja now, would be nice to have but we have more important positions to fill, left back and central midfield especially, Alfred Pedulla who was spot on with the Scamacca stuff said Zielinski after seeing how insistent we are on getting him is now considering whether to move, he would be first choice in CM, am not sure what happened around David Raum or Onana but equally both of them would be great additions as we are still 5 short of having an acceptable depth in the squad, if you add in Kostic and maybe Cornet, BBD or Sarr for the other two slots we will be in decent shape.
