Irons target offered new deal

West Ham target Ben Brereton Diaz has been offered a new deal by Blackburn Rovers, according to The Sun.

The newspaper reports that the Championship club remain desperate to keep the striker at the club amid plenty of interest from rival clubs.

Sevilla and Nice are both said to be interested, while we know that Hammers boss David Moyes is a huge fan of the Chile international and has continually monitored his progress throughout the summer.

Rovers have valued Brereton Diaz at £15m and The Sun reports the club want to tie him down because his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.

That deal is likely to include a release clause that would allow him to leave either in January or next summer, while also receiving a major pay rise.

The 23-year-old has scored two goals in five games already this season and has won 14 caps for Chile.

  1. Goodness me this is infuriating. If he likes him, why not just buy him?? It’s £15m.

  2. I actually think he could be useful for us and he can hold the ball and carry and at 15mil he would be worth the punt, maybe he can play AM?
