Irons target set for rival move

|

West Ham target Ismaila Sarr appears set for a move to Aston Villa.

Sky Sports reports that Steven Gerrard’s side have agreed a deal to sign Sarr that is worth more than £25m plus add-ons.

Sarr was left out of Watford’s squad for the clash with Preston North End earlier this weekend as he nears a move away from Vicarage Road.

The Hornets star has previously been linked with a potential move to the Irons, with boss David Moyes clearly a big fan of the winger.

Another Hammers target who plays for Watford, Emmanuel Dennis, has also moved, joining Nottingham Forest, while Sarr is closing in on a move to Villa Park.

The 24-year-old has won 47 caps for Senegal and has made 95 appearances for the Hornets, scoring 25 goals and registering 19 assists for the club.

He proved his worth in the Premier League last season as he scored five goals and laid on two assists in a poor Watford team.

The only time some of these players are “Genuine” West Han transfer targets is when they sign for another club. Is this just another smoke screen by the board because i have not seen anything in the press or on the sports news chanel that has ever sugested that West Ham actually made an approach for him

i have read on one or two occasions that we didn’t go fully in for him and Dennis because Moyese had heard they had dubious reputations regarding their attitude and that they were widely disliked in the Watford dressing room
