Irons thumbs down on German striker

Borussia Dortmund Team PresentationWest Ham have this evening denied stories that they are interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Julian Schieber.
Stories have been circulating in Germany that Sam Allardyce is interested in the 25 year old but they were immediately kicked into touch by the club.
With just three goals from 35 games for the club it was a surprising link and the Hammers quickly made it clear there was ‘zero interest.’
Indeed ClaretandHugh was told: “Seems we are being linked with any footballer who has two legs and a pulse at the moment.
“We get about 50 players suggested to us from agents every day – it is a nightmare.
“But Schieber has never been on our radar. His career record shows 29 goals from 137 games so he’s not quite what we are looking for at this stage.”
