West Ham are looking to boost their transfer kitty by another £10 million via Enner Valencia.
The Ecuador international has enjoyed a decent loan spell with Everton who have first refusal of the player written into the agreement.
Valencia has scored three times in his 23 appearances for the Toffees – often as a sub – and has justified the faith which Ronald Koeman showed in him when releasing him from what had become a Hammers hell.
Now the Irons – who had paid £12 million for the striker – expect Everton to complete the deal at around £10 million but will stick firmly to those terms.
Valencia has no interest in a Hammers return even were he wanted and should the Toffees not come up with the fee he will be very much offer to other clubs.
Slaven Bilic was left unimpressed by the player’s work rate and he clearly has no future at the London Stadiumunder the manager.
I am not sure his workrate was ever in question, he ran up and down the pitch all day, the problem was he was lightweight in the tackle and didn’t score enough goals, without him helping Cresswell out we have shipped plenty but if we can get our money back on him and he is happy at Everton where they train hard and play with commitment and if it suits all parties let him go. I must admit it makes a refreshing change not to hear leaks out of the directors box on how much we will be spending this summer on various types of players, still I suppose the season isn’t over (shame no one told the players that before the last game) so I shouldn’t count our chickens just yet 🙂
I see Poch managed to get the message to his lot last night that the season wasnt over.
