West Ham United are facing a growing transfer crisis as they attempt to bolster their squad for the upcoming Premier League season.

The club have been linked with a number of targets, including Jhon Duran, Noussair Mazraoui, and Jean-Clair Todibo, but have struggled to finalise deals.

Recent reports suggest that West Ham have missed out on the signing of Lyon defender Jake O’Brien, with Everton securing a deal for the highly-rated 23-year-old.

The Hammers have also faced difficulties in their pursuit of Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, with negotiations over a transfer fee proving to be a stumbling block.

With the transfer window closing on August 30th, West Ham are running out of time to strengthen their squad. The club’s failure to address key areas of the team could have serious consequences for their chances of success in the upcoming campaign.

West Ham plan to make eight signings this summer to give Lopetegui a full squad. As things stand only three have arrived, Max Kilman being the last just over three weeks ago .

It means the Hammers must make a signing a week between now and the closure of the window in order to do that.

Fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the club’s transfer strategy, with many calling for a change in approach. The pressure is mounting on the West Ham board to deliver the signings needed to improve the squad

It’s actually the same for every club…….deals are not happening in abundance this summer. Well, not yet……..

  • Garry Sanderson says:

I’m sick of all this player or that make the right offer and buy kin boardroom a joke same old shirt every transfer window, the boardroom ie:- Sullivan and Co need to be realistic, give Tim the full backing and funds to buy

  • Andy ⚒ says:

Unfortunately this will always happen, all the time you have Sullivan in control. I don’t blame Steidten he can identify all the players in the world but if the man above him will only offer half the value of what the selling club . We can only hope that one day this man finally leaves the club . 🤞

Agree totally Adam, it’s gone from C&H to Copy & Paste

Agree totally Adam. It’s gone from C&H to Copy & Paste

  • Pete says:

Same old story. Sully ruins the deals by insisting his agents are used and he’s too tight to pay the going rate for youngsters. Until that terrible so-called businessman goes this will always happen and kill the club

  • Adam says:

Is it me or has C&H turned into rumour site like all the others? It used to be the one place I could go do where I didn’t read BS. Now it is the same stuff being spouted 10 times a day.

its out of hand Adam, honestly a joke, soon as they see a rumor they print it, and then it it clearly was never going to happen, and as a club it makes us look stupid with other fans, and as soon as we say something they dont like they chuck their toys out and say we will be banned from voicing our opinions !! Its bad enough having joke owners let alone joke so called fan sites, i think though slowly but surly most of us are seeing this npw.
Rant over, and as Gonzobignose will say if you dont like it then dont read, and thats fair, but my point is this daily dross is mugging us off with other fans, especially the spuds!
      coyis!

      • Martin Treasure says:

well, truth be told I don’t ‘ban’ as you say for those who voice opinions, those who are insulting or obscene are deleted. As you’ll see because I haven’t removed your post!

  • David Sulley says:

We must not forget it was due to our missing out on Europe that has made the hammers less attractive. Moyes did no favours by not strengthening up front last year and on top left an ageing squad, perhaps that ought to be his legacy. So don’t blame our recruitment team, their job was made extremely difficult.

    • S says:

Perhaps Moyes’ legacy should be all those years we DIDN’T miss out on Europe? Given your assertion that lack of Europe makes us less attractive, you think Paqueta and Kudus come here without European football? I know it was time for Moyes to go, but don’t forget how far he brought the club.

    • Mibatch says:

Totally agree. It does seem that a number of WH targets are then signed by other clubs, maybe because we always seem to offer a ridiculously low initial bid which almost encourages the other clubs to enter an auuction. Surely we should be offering realistic bids for someone that we really want. Europe is essential to us and only the better players will get us there.

  • Bonzo says:

There’s plenty of time yet. Keep the faith.

  • Fletch says:

    Same s* different window
Sullivan & Brady out…let’s get the protests going again 💪⚒

Here are the key points from the page:

Transfer Crisis: West Ham United is facing difficulties in finalizing deals for key targets like Jhon Duran, Noussair Mazraoui, and Jean-Clair Todibo.

Missed Opportunities: The club missed out on signing Lyon defender Jake O’Brien, who joined Everton instead.
    Fan Frustration:

Fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the club’s transfer strategy and are calling for a change in approach.

Time Pressure: With the transfer window closing on August 30th, West Ham needs to make significant signings quickly to strengthen their squad.

    • LoxtheHammer says:

We actually have 4 new signings, Andy Irving being the 4th.
It seems to me we still try and underprice transfers and are too slow in making actual realistic bids.
We definitely need a right back and centre forward, and a central defender.
Potts looks like he’s the real deal, while Orford and Marshall need to go out on loan to get the experience that has turned Potts into a first team contender.

      • Superboom says:

        We signed Irving last year

        • LoxtheHammer says:

Yes, but he was out on loan, so he’s essentially a new player at the club.

      • Jezza says:

It seems to be all about brinksmanship clubs need money to buy so they’re holding out and see WHU as awash with money after the Rice deal. However as the deadline nears there will be frantic activity like playing poker.

    • Toby says:

Fans are getting fed up with these sort of b* sites, telling us the same old same old every half an hour every day!
