Irons: “We are not in negotiations for Song”

Song-edited1_3197599West Ham have tonight revealed they are not in negotiations with Alex Song or his advisers over a long term move to the club.

No transfer fee has been arranged with his club Barcelona and  no talks are being held with the player or his advisers.

Speculation had arisen that talks had got underway and broken down but ClaretandHugh was told by highly placed insiders a few minutes ago that “no talks are being held.”

We reported two weeks ago that the club was cooling on a deal after the player’s decline in form since his return from Africa when retiring from international football.

And tonight we were told: “There are no talks – we are not in negotiations with Alex. It’s as simple as that and to be honest he’s not the player he was, he’s giving the ball away too much.”

  1. I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that based on recent performances he isn’t even worth half the 100k a week he is apparently after. It’s a shame given the promise he showed at the start of the season.

  2. I have said a couple of times recently that his form has been poor and his passing somewhat questionable. However, Form loss is temporary, Class is permanent. I do not think he has been 100% fit since Christmas, and I do honestly think he needs a rest. He is playing under duress as there is no alternative option. BFS doesn’t think Poyet is ready, and we all know KN is passed his best and too slow for the position. I also think he is disappointed with our short term prospects after the recent slide, and his head is looking for alternative options rather than committing himself to us.The Media keep associating him with Liverpool, and look what happened to Mr Diame.

  3. Thank god someone upstairs noticed his total unproffesional attitude.Even if West Ham are not now what he is looking for shouldnt he be showing his attributes to prospective employers. No he is showing a side to himself that no manager would want, thats disrespect to the shirt he is wearing. If a real class player loses his form he doubles his efforts Song has tried to make an excuse not to do that,by showing a total disinterest on the game.Shame hes not a better character.Showed class at first. C.O.Y.I.

  4. If he is not coming fall time then we need to start looking now for a replacement to play alongside Kouyate as we have no one at the moment in fact we need 2 options if we are going to use Koyoute as cover for centre half,
Why we are at it we need to sort out the right back position as well unless Henrey is is going to cover this place in which case we need 1 ,I hope Jenkinson signs.
We can then let O,Brien,Demel and Nolan go,
If Nene signs and Alfitano gets his extra year we can let Cole and Jarvis go
Ot that bad1 right back 2 Midfielders 1 forward 1 utility player 5 out 5 in

  5. I read today in the papers that we wont pay the dough for his weekly wages he wants & now he has taken all Irons images off his Instagram page.Aint none on it but i never went to his instagram before so aint got a clue if there were any on it previously.Times like this we need roveing reporter Conker to dig up some info, lol 😉

  6. Ahahah… Yes Tyson, our investigative reporter would help us… According to my source conker has become the agent of BFS. Since here the tension is high for his client, conker is negotiating with Barcelona, he almost sealed the deal…

  7. lol!!!

I do think Song has looked sluggish and disinterested since leaving International team – or maybe he’s had football lessons from Rigobert!!
