Irons wingers await their fate

|

snoddySofiane Feghouli looks the most likely next departure from the club as Slaven Bilic’s search for a speedy winger continues.

With moves for Adama Traore and Henry Onyekuru still very much underway, the  question is whether the Algerian or Robert Snodgrass is the more likely departure from the London Stadium.

It could be both of course but ClaretandHugh understands that Feghouli is marginal favourite as both of Traore and Onyekuru are closest in style of play to the Alererian than Snodgrass.

sofiane-feghouli-774898Should that turn out to be the case the 27 year old would follow Jonathan Calleri, Alvaro Arbeloa, Gokhan Tore,  Sam Westley, Reece Oxford, Raphael Spiegel and Havard Nordtveit with some no gone permanently and others moved out on loan.r

Italian outfit Roma remain interest in him at around £8 million but, like ourselves in the case of the strikers, they are having to wait until the Hammers land their own targets.

A source said: ” The manager would like a quick and strong winger but our focus – as has been the case since the start of the summer – is on strikers.”

I think Feghouli is more likely to stay with Snodgrass the one to make way. I would have liked to sign the Chelsea left sided player that was on loan at Ajax but that looks very unlikely. Snodgrass was a major disappointment especially as he was a proven PL player. It was Feghouli’s first season in the PL and for this I believe he will show the greater improvement next season so I would definitely keep him ahead of Snodgrass.

For me Snodgrass can leave whether we get a replacement or not. Feghouli improved towards the end of the season, so I would keep him as a squadie.

Of the wingers we’ve been linked with, Onyekuru looks the best by miles.

Need to hold on to Feghouli. Has shown promise and very importantly his attitude is great and admits he has had tough spells and wants to stay and improve.
With moving to new league the Payet and London stadium situation made the move harder but when he showed up he looks great. And seemed to be finding his consistency towards end of season.
So I would rather Snodgrass then Feghouli bc he seems more skilled and also has more heart in it.

And Admama Traroe to me would be a waste of £8m we can’t buy like Man city. And player development isn’t Bilic’s strong suit.
Henry O for the same price can play up front and either wing and he has magic feet and has bested Lukaku and Michy in goals in Belgium League. 25 goals and 12 assists shouldn’t be a contest. Traore no goals 1 assist

Didn’t want Snodgrass at the beginning so I’ll be happy for him to go.

Yes, Snodgrass has been a real disappointment, very disappointing. As far as Feghouli is concerned, he improved later on in the Season and looked useful, but I get the impression tha Bilic doesn’t fully trust hiim.

I think it is unlikely we will sign Traore or Onyekuru but we could still lose Snodgrass and not miss them.
