Is this the answer to the Carroll wages problem?

|

andyWest Ham’s best answer to their Andy Carroll dilemma is to put theΒ injury stricken striker out on loan should he be fit come January.

That’s the view of ClaretandHugh’s chief analyst Leroy Rosenior who commented: “The issues are clear. We have a striker who we probably can’t sell and for whom we have to change the system whenever he’s available.

“Then by the time everybody has bedded down to that he becomes injured again. We are constantly talking about Andy and it’s only rarely to discuss performances.”

Carroll has another three years on his deal which is worth around Β£3.8 million a year and as the Irons struggle to find an answer to the problem Leroy believes a loan could be the answer.

He said: “There seem to be a lot of issues surrounding Andy but they don’t interest me as such although I believe the answer is for him to come out of an envionment which may be wrong for him and into one where he can play football.

“Maybe a move to Newcastle on loan where he is such a hero and a deal where half or part of his wages could be paid whilst he recovers from his injury worries. Obviously, there would be clauses covering injury but it’s something that might be possible to do.

“There comes a point where the club has to cut it’s losses one way or another and if a permanent deal is not on then I would think there would be various clubs who would want a loan deal.”

Rosenior is an unashamed Diafra Sakho fans and is pleased that he is on the way to recovery saying: “He’s always be my top choice for the central role because he gives you everything and the players around him become better because of the clever running he does. He also does well defensively.

“We know there may be problems off the pitch but I would hope everything possible will be done to sort them. I don’t know the situation and maybe Slaven has tried and come to the end of his tether.

“I hope not but if we are in a position where both may have to go for different reasons then if we can’t find the guys to replace them we could perhaps play a false centre forward in Lanzini or let Antonio do his thing through the middle.”

The question is: who wants a player who plays for a couple games and then is injuried for 6 months? I don’t know… maybe a billionaire benefactor who needs company… lool πŸ˜‰

Maybe his father Samuel is getting a managerial position somewhere and would gladly take A.C with him? Liverpool are laughing all the way to the bank.

Doubt anyone would want him, something needs to be done & urgently, Carroll.has been one sorrowful episode but needs to be brought to an end now.

Maybe he could go & join Rav at Lazio on loan.I think Ravel could be a really good calming influence on him lol πŸ™‚

  • TerryM52 says:

Perhaps it’s worth selling him to Medical Research we might get a few quid there

This must be the worst deal in PL history. Been here 4 yrs & have barely got one season out of him in that time. Any other profession he would have been out the door by now. How much has the lump been paid when he has been unplayable?

  • Daboiflip says:

I see it as we have two choices either change his contract to pay as you play ( will show how loyal he is ) if so when his injured he wont have a penny to go out with or the second choice is to do a loan deal similar to zaza but put tue games he has to pay really low so say he goes to newcastle and playa ten games they legally have to buy him for ten mil i think thats the most we will realistically get for him either way we cabt carry on the way we are never personally been a fan of him or the signing in generall so the quicker we are shot of him the better maybe then give our youth martinez a chance and spend the reat of the season signing a world class striker to start at the end of the season

Nothing stopping Martinez get a chance now. AC being there or not won’t come into it.

      • Daboiflip says:

Not saying he is but we brought all these yoing talented players but none never play so instead of buying a dud striker in jan ( no one will sell a decent striker in jan) for the sake of it use what we have and give the youth a chance none of our current strikers are scoring atm so even if martinez or fletcher dont do well least we no they wont make ot or they could set the world a light like rashford instead of getting stuck with a average player just for the sake of buying one

Well you have no chance of Martinez playing,he has been out with a knee injury for the last month πŸ˜‰

I thought the last operation was going to end all this injury malarkey. Aren’t footballers insured?

    Cut our losses!
There was a reason the bin-dippers let him go at a knockdown price. Even if Brenda didn’t fancy him I don’t believe for one second they’d slash his asking price by 50% unless they were aware of an underlying problem with his fitness.
I’m also not entirely sure how much he actually WANTS to be with us. He didn’t exactly jump at the chance to join us when his initial loan spell came to an end.
    Just my opinion, of course.

  • eastendexile says:

Isn’t there a case here for claiming on medical insurance. It would appear that AC has latent defects in his knees which are not going away.
He should for both our sakes be pensioned off.

  • Eddie says:

Aye exile,it does make one wonder how that works. But i assume he has to be called medically unfit to return to play for any insurance to pay out.Though infrequent as it is he can still play it would seem.
He has many injuries but none seem to be career threatening at the moment.
