Toulouse centre-back Issa Diop has arrived in London with his agent in an attempt to push a deal through for his client.
Toulouse and West Ham are understood to have agreed a fee of around €25m (£22m) but extensive agent demands need to be resolved before Diop will agree to personal terms to join the Hammers.
Reports that a medical has already been completed are premature but the Hammers hope to conclude a deal for the defender over the next few days assuming the issues can be resolved.
Earlier today Toulouse president Olivier Sadran spoke about Diop to Spanish media. He told ABC Sevilla: “I know Sevilla want him, but we have yet to receive an official offer from them”
On a bid from West Ham, he replied “Other offers? I don’t want to talk about him to not hinder the ongoing talks. We only need to wait a bit more. I think it’s impossible for Sevilla to sign Diop. I’m asking for €25m. Will Sevilla pay that?”
Diop was previously linked with interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs but hopefully, there is only one club he is in London for and that is West Ham.

Sounds too much like what’s happened before, when we gave a medical to a player only for him to use it to go to Spurs. Spurs are looking for a CB to replace one of their Belgians. I hope it’s not a repeat. Tell me it’s not true.
Diop has been linked and scouted by Barcelona in March this year and Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal last summer.This summer he has been linked with Crystal Palace and Everton as well as West Ham. I think the authorities have finally had their heads reluctantly turned to the agent problem by a number of clubs complaining about extortionate pay outs to these people who are sometimes the players family and others are personal long term buddies becoming millionaires overnight on the back of his mates abilities,something needs sorting out because it’s now becoming a serious third payment,that leads to more delays when a move is on.COYI
