It looks over but Irons sweat on change of heart

|

alexlacGo French Football have confirmed the reason Alexandre Lacazette had turned down a move to the Hammers because of their absence fom the Champons League.

ClaretandHugh revealed several days ago this was the reason although Hammers insiders continue to hope even now there could be a late change of heart.

However it nw looks a srong odds on bet that the player  will be on his way to Paris St Germain whom we are told have been chasing him and holding talks through intermediaries since January.

The Hammers meanwhile are playing their cards close to their chest after Slaven Bilic ordered a clampdown on leaks and one source said: ” That maybe for precisely that reason or because there is little progress on the striker front.

“There was a lot stacked on the Lacazette deal but all that appears to have hapened is that the price has been hiked up on behalf of Lyon.

Previous target Michy Batshuayi is now off the radar with the Hammers having colled on the player who would beavailable at around 40 million euros.

Have we cooled on Michy because of the price, or is it just that, they are ” playing their cards close to their chest after Slaven Bilic ordered a clampdown on leaks “

After a long and gruelling EPL season, it all seems too much with all the rumors and speculation concerning possible signings. Just hope we can procure the services of a couple of high-quality strikers who are capable of scoring from relatively easy chances.
Otherwise, our next season’s EPL and Europa games may be very difficult to win.

You can say the same thing about every club in the world by just changing the name of league & cup comp

Well it is silly season with the media, they have all gone into melt down with transfers & along with the Euro’s on top. we have made it known we are looking for a top striker so isn’t it obvious that agents have been ‘leaking’ their player is wanted by West Ham which then pushes the price up & makes other club aware their player is available.
Every day/hour another target is identified, take no notice until you read West Ham HAVE signed ………….. (whoever).
No one can be getter any work done at the club as they must all be too busy being “a source at the club have confirmed blah blah blah” which really means is the reporter has just made it up. Lol 😀

quite agree. It’s time to take a rest and wait to see what magic our recruitment people work this year.
Having said that though, I can’t wait to see the new strikers etc coming in.

Aye Essex, difficult to take anything seriously until you see the player holding up our shirt in the ground or signing a contract. All the rest is just bull****

If these rumors are true, Lacazette likes to win easily… PSG have no rivals, they are going to win the French League for the next 100 years. PL is a different story… but as Ty says, we should wait till he signs a new contract. 😉

  • EastStandTeddy says:

It all depends who realistically comes in for him,if he has no takers from CL qualified teams who knows.Im sure one will take him though.

Last year we were really lucky we got all our main targets except Sisto Pone but other than Dimi they were not big names, now we are going for top players we are finding that most targets have a lot of options so we shouldn’t be too worried that they are keeping their options open. Many targets will also be playing at championships and either clubs or players will hope their stock rises, I would think it might be a longish wait to make some of the deals but let’s see COYI!!

  • RickHammer says:

Correct 32,many players will be keeping options open who are involved in the Euros & Copa America, they better just hope they don’t have a stinker or they could end up at Crewe or Bury 😉
