ITK Romano claims Hammers are doing a deal

ITK Fabrizio Romano claims the Hammers are close to doing a deal with Monaco for Thilo Kehrer.

Claret and Hugh first broke the news that the German was unwanted at the Hammers and that they were ready to let him leave this window.

Now Romano has confirmed that he will be on his way back to France having joined the Hammers for £10 million from Paris St Germain.

And it seems highly probable that the club will get a fee of around £10 million which is what we bought him for from the Ligue 1 club.

It was thought he could return to Germany having mentioned that soon after joining the Hammers but France seems to be his destination in January.

We were told a week ago that Kehrer was a likely departure as the club looks to make way for home grown players within the squad.

One player who could interest the Hammers as a result of raising transfer funds is Leicester City striker Kelenchi Iheancho who first interested us when he joined the Foxes from Manchester City in 2017.

He has scored 32 goals in all competitions for three season before they were relegated last season and the 27 year old has added a further six in the Championship this season.
