ITK Romano’s Hammers striker doubts

ITK Fabrizio Romano has doubt the Hammers will find a new striker in the winter window. Discussing the issue on his Daily Briefing he claims that if the manager is truly after a top of the table challenge he will need to find someone having tried to get away with what he has had in the past.

Indeed, he claims that a top of the table push will mean a striker purchase is an absolute requirement for the Hammers. David Moyes has of course been keen to attract Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke to the club but appears to be failing with the player happy where he is after scoring seven goals and providing one assist in all competitions this season per  WhoScored.

He claims that will be a disappointment to Moyes who had appeared to make his mind up the Cherries striker was the man for the join with Antonio now 33 and Danny Ings regularly failing to cut it at Premier League level

He added that the Bournemouth boss has been quoted as saying of Solanke that “he’s happy here,” when asked by a reporter about links with West Ham. And the ITK adds that is certain to disappoint the east Londoners who’ll likely have to look elsewhere for their new front man.

It is rare for Moyes to make his mind up quickly on a player so Romano is right and this is even more disappointing as a result.
