It’s bad news for Klopp ahead of Irons clash

Liverpool have been hit by three injuries for the game against the Irons and according to Jurgen Klopp none of the trio will be available for the match.

With the Hammers facing their own possible selection difficulties – and although not wanting to concentrate on the opposition’s problems – it’s heartening that the Premier League’s second placed team has problems of it’s own.

Joel MatipRoberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara have all been ruled out of Saturday’s showdown, meanwhile Curtis Jones and Naby Keita are both doubtful according to the Liverpool Echo.

Commenting on the reducing options becoming available to him, Klopp said at his pre-match press conference the squad was starting to face difficulties.

David Moyes will name his team ahead of the match with an announcement due at 4.30 pm and has mentioned previously there remain doubts over Soucek and Cresswell.

Klopp meanwhile said at the presser ahead of the game: “So all of a sudden, we played a tough game midweek, all these kind of things, so we still wait a little bit for who is how in which moment.

“So from eight midfielders – Naby we don’t know – to four midfielders in a week, that can happen easily.

“So it’s not nothing as well that we, like, enjoy, ‘Oh my God, we have the full choice.’ You have the full choice one day and then the other days you don’t have it.

“So we have to make sure that we stay as fit as possible because we have a lot of games to play in these upcoming months.”said: “
