It’s been an ‘orrible October for three years!

There MAY be a reason to believe a change of fortune is on the way for the Irons as we turn into November!

For it seems that there may well have been an October bogey hanging over the Hammers this last three years.

You have to go back to the 2016/17 season to find an October when the team has managed to win a game when that became a very prosperous month for us.

Since then when we won at Palace and beat Sunderland and Chelsea at home the tenth month of the year has been a total nightmare for the Irons.

So we look to November 2 for the upturn and if e are to continue looking for omens there’s a very nice one in front of us.

For despite being beaten by Newcastle in a meaningless pre-season match we recorded a double over them last season after we had improved well after that awful start.

Ok, I grab at straws but anything that gives hope at the end of a miserable run will do for me this morning.

Thanks to ClaretandHugh Facebook member Dave McLelland for pointing out the stat!
