It’s not just West Ham United’s men’s first team that has endured a difficult start to the season — the women’s side is also struggling to find form. With just one win in their last six outings, the team’s only victory came in the League Cup against Charlton Athletic, a result that offered brief respite from an otherwise dismal run.

In the Women’s Super League, West Ham have conceded a staggering 16 goals while scoring just twice across five matches. This poor run of form has left them rooted to the bottom of the table with zero points, raising serious concerns about their ability to compete this season

Manager Rehanne Skinner now finds herself under pressure having signed a contract extension in April earlier this year.
West Ham are reportedly in talks with Monarch Collective, a US Investment firm, to sell up-to 49% of the team, with a valuation of £55m, the West Ham board would retain a majority control.
West Ham face Brighton later this evening in the Women’s League club and will be hoping to progress further to put their league form behind them. The game will be held at the Chigwell Construction Stadium with a 7pm Kick Off.

I have been a season ticket holder since the late eighties, so experienced the highs and lows of being a West Ham supporter. I previously wrote for OLAS and have contributed to a number of football publications in the past.
